Insert the SORBSAN SILVER RIBBON/PACKING dressing directly into the wound cavity. Do not pack the wound tightly. Ensure that a small length (2cm) of dressing remains protruding from the cavity. Apply an appropriate secondary dressing over SORBSAN SILVER RIBBON/ PACKING to prevent dehydration and secure with tape or bandages using existing clinical protocols. To remove SORBSAN SILVER RIBBON/ PACKING calcium aginate from the wound, gently pull any protruding length of dressing to lift the non-gelled part from the wound. Removal: Irrigate the wound with sterile saline (0.9%) to remove SORBSAN SILVER gel left in the wound site.
