Description LYOFOAM® EXTRA is a sterile nonadhesive, sterile, semipermeable polyurethane foam dressing with an extra absorbent center layer designed for use on wounds with moderate to heavy exudate. A layer of polyurethane foam, heat-treated on one side to provide a smooth, hydrophilic absorbent layer next to fragile skin. Provides cushioning to irritated skin. Maintains body temperature at the wound surface and does not adhere to the wound base, thereby protecting delicate granulation tissue and avoiding wound trauma during dressing changes.
