| It comprises of a non-adherent wound contact layer, a non-adherent absorbent island padding containing superabsorbent polyacrylate granules that expand and gel in contact with exudate (so keeping the exudate away from the skin), and a final outer covering of polyurethane film.
It does not have the adhesive border, and so is of value in those patients’ with fragile skin or sensitivities to adhesives.
